As summer approaches, a review about the start of the season for Easy Formula.
It was late April on the occasion of the Classic Days that the team’s Panoz Superleague Formula took the track back. Taking place in the prestigious setting of the Nevers Magny-Cours circuit, the Classic Days are one of the major events for vintage cars in France. This year again, and despite the rainy weather, many spectators had made the trip to admire the cars present, including a Porsche 917 and a Porsche 935 driven by Jacky Ickx.
For its first appearance in this meeting, the Easy Formula team chose to present only one Superleague. In the midst of some Formula 1 and sport prototypes, the sound of its V12 engine delighted all the fans.
A month later, this time under the sun and with two cars, the team participated in the 24th edition of the Sport and Collection. For four days, the entrants took possession of the Val de Vienne circuit for a rather exceptional concentration of remarkable cars, gathered for the good cause since the revenues generated by the event are fully donated to the University Hospital of Poitiers.
Sharing the track with a dozen of single-seater cars for six 20-minute sessions, the Easy Formula drivers had some good fun on the French circuit, reaching nearly 300kph in the main straight line.
It is now time for the mechanics to prepare the cars for the coming driving sessions.
